Auditions

Read through ALL of the rules before considering an application. While we understand people have other things in their life, if you have other obligations that may conflict with being a part of our group, we ask that you please DO NOT apply. This is not just a cosplay group, but a performance group. You will be responsible not only for your costume, but for your vocals and your choreography. If you don't think you can keep up, don't apply.

Due to problems in the past, all cast members will be required to sign a legal contract in which you agree to these rules and will abide by them.

Rules

☆ You must be 18 or older to join. No exceptions. We will not be responsible for minors at conventions.

☆ All costumes, wigs, props, and accessories for this group must be made either by yourself or another cast member. No commissioned costumes allowed. (Help from family is perfectly fine!) The costume may also be made by another group member (or borrowed) as long as the other group member has agreed to this.

☆ You must provide photo updates of your progress on your costume via the internet, so make sure you have a camera and reliable internet access. (Or if a cast member is making the costume for you, the person doing the sewing must provide the updates.) **Costumes must be done THREE WEEKS PRIOR TO THE SCHEDULED EVENT***.

☆ You must have access to a computer-based sound recording device. (Most computers come with them now a days.) You will be required to send in recordings of you singing your part on a regular basis. You are also responsible for learning your own choreography. Information will be provided to you, but rehearsing it is up to you. Balance your time accordingly.

☆ You are more than welcome to participate with other cosplay groups, but please do not compete or do performances with other cosplay groups using costumes made for LCM without permission from Seiya or Yaten. (Just check with us first.) Hall cosplay is fine, even encouraged.

☆ You must be able to keep in regular contact with the group (meaning weekly). If you disappear without prior warning and we are unable to contact you, your role may be forfeit.

☆ Please do not discuss Last Chance business outside of the group. While it's no secret what we're doing (Sera Myu, duh!), we'd like for it to be a bit of a surprise when people come see our show. In that vein, please do not post pictures of your costume anywhere on the 'net before the debut date without permission. (After the debut date, spam away!)

10% of life is what happens to you, 90% is how you react. When deadlines arise, the founders will be emailing you to go over your work. (We don't bite. We promise!) However, sometimes they may have thoughts, concerns, or suggestions in regards to your deadline submission. If you cannot take constructive criticism, this may not be the group for you.

☆ Due to past problems with cast members dropping out literally days before a show, we require at least two month's notice before a show if you must resign. This is a big commitment that all cast members are making. Not only time, but money - costumes, airfare, and hotel aren't cheap. The conventions plan for us to be there and put on an awesome show, and organizing (or re-organizing) shows take time. Unless it is a family emergency (and we will require proof), if you drop out prematurely, you will be held financially responsible.

If you read through each of these rules, you will place a code in the applicaton of your audition to us. This code will change periodically and will always be the last phrase (in quotation marks) on this page. When using this in your application, it is like signing a contract with us and you're STATING that you read and understood it. That way if you come back to us saying "Well I didn't know" we can say otherwise.

The rules can be changed, added, or amended at any time, just be aware.

Thanks and good luck!

Now on to the application!
